Mid Autumn Festival in Chinatown

It is the Mid Autumn festival in Singapore again. Moon cakes, lanterns are the popular delights that are associated with this festival. For tourist, taking a walk in the evening in Chinatown is a delightful experience. Streets are elaborately coloured with beautiful lanterns, lights and decorations that depict the Mid Autumn theme. This festival usually is at it's peak on the 15th of the Chinese 8th Lunar month.

Join the fun walking in Chinatown in the evening and be showered with the beautiful light up. The train station to reach there is Chinatown MRT Station (NE4)

For an exciting activity, join the Mass Lantern Walk with your family, friends or just be embraced in the warm moonlit sky and lanterns along Eu Tong Sen Street. There will be performances of stilt walkers, dragons and lion dances. Bring along a lantern or purchase one at the busy and colourful street bazaar along Sago, Pagoda and Trengganu Street.

The Mass Lantern Walk starts at the open field near the Outram Park MRT.

Time: 7.30pm to 10.00pm
