Congested Heat or Wide Open Spaces

Singapore. Scorching weather in concrete jungle. Yes, that is the weather we have here. But we are so used to it, we just complained hot or humid. You won't catch us saying brrr...it's so cold, it had snowed in nor would you ever catch us saying we have to scrape the car windows down. We have the air conditioning on almost every night unless it's broken. And we go about doing the normal things we do each day, going in and out of office from the hot scorching sun to the cool comforts of air conditioning in the offices and malls.

But what is really getting to me, is not the weather. I could go to Thailand or Malaysia and weather the same heat yet not complain much. To me, it is the space constraint. In Singapore, space is so limited and wherever we turn, there's buildings, flats, condominiums, offices, shophouses..everywhere.

In Malaysia, Thailand and Arizona homes that weather hot scorching weather it is not congested. Because of the wide open spaces, big open land and big trees, it feels like a holiday and you breathe easier. Arizona may have their scorching days but they have winter too. So you get to have unconstrained air conditioning without having to be kept in a small room or building.

Blogging For A Pilot Job

Want to be a pilot? Well in Asia's fastest growing airlines industry, AirAsia is looking to recruit 10 pilots without any experience necessary. The catch? You have to blog about why you think you are right for the job! Sounds pretty easy? Well, they need to meet the required requirements like aged between 18 to 28 years, have a good eyesight, mentally and physically fit and a good command of English Languge and Bahasa Malaysia (the official language of Malaysia)...

I definitely am not cut out for the job...LOL but I believe I would be applying for it if it were two decades ago! Bet this way of recruiting, will be giving lots of positive publicity to AirAsia because of those who wants it so bad. Anyone already started blogging about it?

I would love to read about it too!

Deciding Between Laptops or Desktops

Decades ago, buying a computer involved so much of research for me. But they were mostly very exhausting ones. I practically went to retails to find out the specifications of the personal computers and asked the sales people who sold them. Only did I realized that those that were paid commision to sell the products thus were not looking out much for customers' requirements and needs. They would sell their own products they work for and would not recommend any other brands.

Much later, I found out that in order to get a fair and justified professional advice, I just need to look at the right place online to find out what I need to know when searching to buy the right personal computers for myself.

As I have been using a desktop in the past decades, I couldn't decide if I wanted a new desktop or I should be getting a laptop instead. I want something portable but at the same time I wasn't sure if a laptop would be able to withstand long operating hours if I had it turned on for long periods of time. Reading up finally got me decided that a laptop still prove to be versatile and many new laptops were highly optimized workhorses too. I could always fix an extra desktop monitor should I need a larger screen.

Ideally one should always read up before one makes a decision in their buying decisions. It also helps to understand your budgets and needs too.

Argument Leaves Women Naked

I read about the recent news whereby a Malaysian girlfriend of a French tourist was found naked at the corridor of a hotel. Apparently she was being locked out by her French boyfriend after an argument. The woman, 46 years old, was found by a hotel staff who helped her cover her body and given some clothes.

The French tourish was then arrested under charges of criminal intimidation as well as outraging the modesty of the woman. According to reports, the police was called up when a fierce argument happened the night before.

Well, how can this boyfriend of hers leave her out there naked? I really just cannot understand it. Even if an argument had broken out, that is such a cruel thing to do. I hope the punishment is stiff for him.

Jackie Making A Comeback

Lehman Brothers' bankruptcy saga has brought the world to a financial crunch, crippling many large organisations when they lose their investment money. Some of the poorer individuals are even made up of retirees who have given up their only retirement fund collected from years of hard earned jobs for this fund.

It is something that taught the world a lesson. Some banks have been wonderful by paying some amount back, especially those who are less educated and taught that investments do not have risks. The latest news I read about those who got 'burnt' by this monies lost include Hong Kong mega star singer, Jacky Cheong, who had lost about S$8 million worth of assets.

A movie is in the works this year although he has known to be halfway into retirement. In need of money or passion fueling this contract? We don't know but as usual, his movie will be popular and his fans are all waiting eagerly.

Skin Blues

Scorching hot and windy spells. My skin gets too dry and the sun gives me pigmentation. I've tried many types of facial products that claims they can help prevent pigmentation and dry skin problem. None helped. I've got allergies that only the best natural ingredients work on me. I've been reading up about a homeopathic treatment. It had been proven to work on those with eczema, pruritis and other fungal infections. 7 Cream with Manuka Honey sounds very luxurious and wholesome. It is formulated with natural ingredients. There's more on their website about their natural 7 cream products. Check them out if you have similar skin problems and looking for natural ingredients.

New Ways of The Young

Winnie Cheng has been caught on camera kissing two different men on Christmas night last year in Hong Kong. And this year, what can be worst than posting photos of party and smooching as many as 19 different men on her blog.

So what is the father of Winnie Cheng has to say over her frivolous ways? The father is none other than the popular actor Adam Cheng. Her photos in the blog were taking on many locations from streets, beaches, night clubs, public transportation and even on the bed. Almost 20 years old, Winnie insists that it is no big deal being in a bikini kissing tattooed man who were topless.

Ahem.. In my days, we weren't allowed to even go to the movies till we are 21 years old... but if that would have been my daughter, I'd flipped!
