Singaporeans coming back from Phuket

Singaporeans who were stranded in Phuket since Friday, heaved sighs of relieved when the Phuket International Airport reopened on Sunday. The airport had been closed for flights on Friday after an anti government protests on Friday. In Singapore, all flights to Phuket had been postponed although some had made some private flights on Sunday evening. On Monday, flight schedules resumed to back where it had been.

In Phuket, some stranded Singaporeans had decided to make their own private plans by travelling enroute Bangkok for 10 hours in a mini bus. Singapore Airlines was kind enough to give them a free flight back to Singapore if they can make their own way to Bangkok.

Welcome back to Singapore! Glad you are back safe and sound, most importantly.
