Getting around Singapore

Getting around is easy with it's highly efficient transportation like buses that ply every 10 minutes during peak and not more than 30 minutes for non peak. But most of the time there are many other transportations like the MRT (Mass Rapid Transit), and abundant taxis everywhere.

Singapore people have gotten so used to having such efficient transportation that every 5 or 10 minutes delay they may bitch and moan about it. I think it is also among the lowest priced transportations, well maintained, highly efficient in the World. If you travelled across the border causeway to Johor in Malaysia or cross over by ferry to Bintan in Indonesia, you can tell the drastic difference in the well maintained vehicles and road systems. Click on the MRT map route to see a bigger version from the original source.

yes. the cars are expensive to get with COEs to buy. the govt is trying to encourage all to use public transport. by having an efficient public transport, there leaves no room for complaints. :)
